Resumen:
High - chromium ferritic-martensitic steels containing between 8 - 14 pet chromium have received extensive use at elevated temperature because of an economical combination of mechanical and corrosion properties, A particular type of these steels, named MANET II, is being considered as candidate alloy for first wall application in fusion reactor systems. Due to their wide variety of applications, past and present studies about properties of this steels have been performed in several laboratories and they are focus of interest of the Material Expert Croup of the Nuclear Fusion Project of the European Community. As part of an extensive fatigue investigation on stainless steels, the influence of the previous thermal treatment on the mechanical behaviour during low cycle fatigue deformation has been studied in MANET II.[ l]
