Steady control of laminar separation over airfoils with plasma sheet actuators

In this work we analyze the effects produced by an EHD actuator on the flow around an airfoil at low Re numbers (Re¡Ö104). The analysis is undertaken from flow visualizations and measurements of the surface pressure distributions. The experiments indicate that, for low Re number, the actuator effects depends on the relative distance between the discharge and the point of flow separation.
