Resumen:
This special issue of Catalysis Today contains selected contributions that were presented at the XXIII Iberoamerican Congress on Catalysis (XXIII CICAT) held in Santa Fe, Argentina, from September 2 to 7, 2012. CICAT is an international forum organized under the auspices of the Iberoamerican Federation of Catalysis Societies (FISOCAT). Since its first edition in Spain 1968, this congress, which is the most important one in the field of catalysis in Latin America and Iberian Peninsula, has been held every two years in different countries. This XXIII CICAT was organized by the Argentine Catalysis Society (SACat)
