Resumen:
The kinetics of chemisorption of H2S on Al2O3, Al2O3-Cl and Pt/Al2O3-Cl at 773 K and 723 K were studied in the range of 0.001-0.12 % atm. Experimental results on the effect of pressure and temperature have been obtained by gravimetry. The data are well represented by first-order kinetics. The driving force is proportional to the available fraction of adsorption centers. The adsorbed amount in the equilibrium is experimentally measured. The k values obtained for Al2O3, Al2O3-Cl and Pt/Al2O3-Cl were similar. The temperature coefficient of k was very small, suggesting a slightly activated adsorption.
