Polyvinylalcohol films: effect of molecular weigth and microcelullulose incorporation.

In this work, it was demonstrated the increase in the molecular weight of PVA produced a decrease on the crystallinity and mechanical properties but also in the swelling and weight loss. On the other hand, the incorporation of cellulose microfibers clearly contributes to enhance all of this parameters and heat treatment decreased both, SD and WL. The results allow to be optimist about the feasibility of use this materials in membrane technologies
