Resumen:
The preference was determined by means of ovitraps located under different conditions of light exposition (traps exposed to the sun both in the morning and in the afternoon, only in the morning, only in the afternoon, and kept in the shade). Preference for oviposition sites colonized by conspecific individuals was also studied using traps with different number of eggs and/or larvae of Ae. aegypti. Based on the ANOVA, there was no significant difference in choosing oviposition sites, neither according to its exposure to the light nor sites previously colonized by conspecifics, although a tendency to avoid those colonized by a great number of eggs was observed.
