Resumen:
Bioerosion and dissolution of shells are analysed as the most relevant tapho nomical processes present in the skeletal concentrations of the Holocene shell ridges  on the north-east coast of the Bahia Blanca Estuary. Bioerosion indicates that bioclasts have remained exposed during long lapses in the water-sediment interface. Once the final deposit has been conformed due to storm events, a strong effect of dissolution upon bioclasts imprints these accumulations with a distinctive character. nomical processes present in the skeletal concentrations of the Holocene shell ridges  on the north-east coast of the Bahia Blanca Estuary.
