Resumen:
The results of scorpiofaunal surveys, carried out in eight westem chaco areas belonging to the Llanos district (Argentina), are given. Nine scorpion species have been recorded in the whole district. The specific composition in each site was quantified, and their similarities and differences are commented; additionally, a chaco area outside of the Llanos was also sampled for comparisons. One of the study sites (Chancaní, in westem province of Córdoba) bears the highest number of sympatric scorpions so far recorded in an Argentinían locality (nine species).
