Resumen:
This species is redescribed and its diagnosis is revised and updated. It is established that U. brachycentrus (Thorell, 1876) and U. iheringi Pocock, 1893 are its nearest relatives; they differ from U. achalensis in the chromatic diagram, the ventral granulation of metasomal segment III, the number of pectinal teeth, the shape of telson and the hemispermatophore.
