Chapter four of the “Global Deserts Outlook” provides an update experts’ view on the status and outlook on world deserts and to enlighten both political decision makers, interested professionals, and environmentally devoted general public about the development potentials and conservation needs of these very fragile environments. Improve understanding of deserts and causes and effects of desertification. It brings information on world deserts ecology, historical context, location, extent, as well as on deserts` fragile ecologies and the unique biota and their adaptations.
