Resumen:
The problem of the characterization of the adsorptive energy of heterogeneous surfaces, for the adsorption of gases on solids, is addressed through three kinds of approach: a continuum, a lattice-gas and a patchwise approach. This is a review article presenting the state-of-the-art in this problem.
