Resumen:
This work presents the results from neutron activation analysis performed on simples of ceramic material (sherds) and clay raw materials and mineral inclusions from archaeological sites and deposits located at the Puna region of upper Chaschuil valley and at Abauc·n mesothermal valley (Tinogasta department, Catamarca, Argentina). At the archaeological sites, different economic and socio-political organizations developed within a temporal range going from formative societies formation (Early and Middleperiods at Argentine Northwest) till inka occupation of the region. The obtained results point to La Troya area, at Abauc·n mesothermal valley, as the supplier of ceramic raw materials, both during Formative (agroalfarero initial and middle) and Inka moments.
