Resumen:
The study of the resuspension mechanisms (roll, slide and pull-of) for the re-entrainment to the atmosphere of particles deposited on surfaces is key to understand and control many problems in industrial processes and environmental studies (Ibrahim, 2003). It becomes interesting to adapt the theoretical models already developed for spherical particles deposited on smooth surfaces, to account for more reliable geometries, in agreement with experiments from different authors. The aim of this work is to study the different resuspension mechanisms through Monte Carlo simulations (MCS) as a function of the shape of the particles to be resuspended.
