Resumen:
Clostridium perfringens necrotic enteritis has been controlled through the use of antibiotic feed additives. Banning of antimicrobial growth promoters has been accompanied with increased incidence of necrotic enteritis, which has become economically significant for the broiler industry. Previous works have indicated that selected tannins have in-vitro bacteriostatic, bactericidal and antitoxin activities against C. perfringens, suggesting that tannins could be a potential tool to control related diseases.
