Resumen:
we have found strong evidence that nonlinear ?springs? with square well-like dynamics are more efficient for piezoelectric energy harvestingfrom random vibrations the ?fatter? their tail becomes, because they better profit from the large and strongly self-correlated excursions of the environmental vibration process. We show that in fact, the efficiency of the energy harvesting process - the power ratio between V^2(t) (delivered by the system to a unit load resistance) and ηv (delivered by the noise to the system) - grows monotonically as a function of q, up to its maximum value q = 3.
