Resumen:
We study the stochastic-resonant synchronization properties of a ring of excitable FitzHugh?Nagumo cells, when nearest-neighbor units are coupled diffusively with strength E through their inhibitor fields. The system is submitted to a common subthreshold adiabatic signal. The germ of the numerically observed stochastic-resonant spatiotemporal self-organization of the excitation activity, is captured in a two-cell model for which both analytical and experimental results (on an electronic analogue) are discussed.
