Resumen:
In a FHN ring with electric inhibitory coupling, we observe the synchronization activity to peak for some noise intensity. By means of a two-cell model and projecting the dynamics along the slow manifolds, we obtain a (signal-dependent) potential landscape which explains qual- itatively all the synchronization regimes, and whose barrier heigths give a good estimate of the optimal noise intensity.
