Resumen:
A vertebra from the La Meseta Formation in Seymour Island is tentatively assigned to the rare genus Xiphiorhynchus (Teleostei, Perciformes, Xiphiorhynchidae). It belongs to one of the largest fossil osteichtyes ever described.
