Resumen:
Abstract: MCM-41 type mesoporous materials containing copper were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis during 1 day. Various techniques such as XRD, DRUV-vis, ICP and N2 adsorption were used in the characterization of these materials. All the materials showed a good structural regularity and high specific surface area. Three types of Cu species could be detected in these materials: Isolated Cu2 + inside the silica framework, Cu2 + O2 -- Cu2 + species weakly interacting with the network and extra-framework copper oxides. The catalysts were tested in the cyclohexene oxidation using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant.   Keywords: copper, mesoporous materials, cyclohexene.
