Resumen:
The incorporation of photovoltaic generation (PV) into an active power filter (APF) allows to extend its capacity and to carry out operations such as: compensation of current and voltage harmonics in the distribution electric system, control of reactive power, compensation of power factor, injection of active power into the utility grid from the photovoltaic generation, etc. In this work, it is described the development of a dynamic simulation model and a control algorithm of an active power filter with addition of photovoltaic generation. A detailed model of all components of the compensation system proposed is developed and a control algorithm is suggested for the APF–PV system. The dynamic simulation results show the good performance of the control algorithm presented, which responds appropriately inconsiderably short times to the compensation requirements imposed by the system.
