Resumen:
Distributed generation and microgrids are presented as in a new paradigm and challenge facing electrical systems worldwide. For this reason, it is planned to show in this work the tendency of structural changes in the composition of conventional electrical systems towards the different distributed generation technologies, their main components, characteristics and facilities for their implementation in microgrid systems. In addition, the importance of minimizing the impact on environmental degradation, caused by the production and consumption of electrical energy, has been considered. The access to the electricity supply and the coverage of places far from the conventional systems allows shortening this access gap to energy, with parameters of quality, reliability, and resilience through the different sources of conventional and non-conventional renewable energies of the type distributed, which have been developed in recent decades.
