Resumen:
Previus evidence from our laboratory showed that intact rats showed a nonconsistent lateralized exploration response due to different geometrical characterictis of the novel enviroment. Since, in previus experiments Tellerium (Te) and Sellenium (Se) could influence the biased response in one determined enviroment (T-shaped rectangular enviroment), the objetive of the present study was to evaluate if the trace elements can affect the lateralized exploratory response in other geometrical enviroments. After systemic adminstration K2TeO3 or Na2SeO3 in nono- txic doses (1,55 nM) to pregnant mother and its litter rats, at 30 days of age litter rats were tested in three geometrically different enviroments: Square (S), Rectangular (R) an T-shaped rectangular (T) enviroments, as previously shown. Animall receiving tap water were considered control (n=14). Results showed that controlanimals presented a right-biased exploration response in the S and R field (24,5 +- 5 Vs. 96,5 +-12 Counts/3 min, left vs right, p
