This study evaluates the effects of dietary (-)-epicatechin (EC) supplementation on nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability in heart tissue, in two models of hypertension: i) rats deficient in NO by treatment with L-NAME, and ii) rats with metabolic syndrome (MetS) induced by consumption of a high fructose diet.
