Resumen:
Abstract Structural determination of the Lipo-Chitin Oligosaccharide Nodulation Signals by Bradyrhizobium NDEH Even when the peanut production is very important in some countries, little is known about the genetic requirements for the symbiotic association of this legume with rhizobia. The ability to produce Nod factors of a symbiotically efficient peanut nodulating rhizobia isolated from soils of Córdoba (Argentina) was studied by thin layer chromatography (TLC). Results show that the induction by genistein of the nod genes from the isolate NDEHE was constituted by five different molecules as revealed by the presence of five spots in TLC plates. The structural study of Nod factor revealed that it shares a variety of substituents with the broad-host-range Sinorhizobium sp NGR234 and Bradyrhizobium spp.
