Resumen:
The interest and research of physics processes happening in the nature have been subject of a multitude of people intense work. The environmental magnetism has attained to constitute itself as an independent field thanks to this big effort, developing several techniques of magnetic parameters’ measurements and a solid theoretical basis. In this work the magnetism in soils is studied, with special attention on magnetic enhancement on soils’ superficial layers, the mechanism of this enhancement may be explained by fallout from the atmosphere of magnetized particles generated by factories from fossil-fuel combustion, also by chemical processes occurred on farming land. The comparison of the affected and unaffected soils showed important differences within “in situ” k measurements (close to one magnitude order). Furthermore it was performed an integrated analysis of magnetic parameters: susceptibility (c, cFD%, c vs. SIRM), Isothermal Remanent Magnetization (IRM) (IRM curves, SIRM, (B0)CR, S ratio), in order to know, in a qualitative way, the magnetic mineral composition, grain size, and characteristics of the main carriers.
