Resumen:
During the last decade, the outcome of self-affine geometrical properties of manygrowing aggregates, originated in a width variety of processes, has been well characterized. However, little progress has been achieved in the search of an unified descriptionof the underlying dynamics. Extensive numerical evidences are givenshowing that the bulk of aggregates formed upon ballistic aggregation andrandom deposition with surface relaxation processes, can be break down into aset of infinite scale invariant structures called "trees". These two types of aggregateshave been selected because it has been established that they belongto different universality classes: those of Kardar-Parisi-Zhang and Edward-Wilkinson,respectively. Exponents describing the spatial and temporal scale invarianceof the trees can be related to the classical exponents describing theself-affine nature of the growing interface. Furthermore, thoseexponents allows to distinguish on either the compact or non-compact nature ofthe growing trees. Therefore, the measurement of the statistic of the processof growing trees may become a useful experimental technique for the evaluationof the self-affine properties of some aggregates.
