Resumen:
The main objetive of our research is the design of a Lactobacillus probiotic pharmaceutical product to be used in the human vagina as a barrier to infections. In previous works, 134 human vaginal lactobacilli were isolated and identified. In this paper the main probiotic characteristics of the following strains are reported a)Lactobacillus crispatus CRL 1266, L. delbrueckii CRL 1333, L. paracasei CRL 1251 and CRL 1289 H202 producers, b)L. acidophillus CRL 1294 autoaggregating c)L. salivarius CRL 1328 bacteriocin-like substance producer and d)L. helveticus CRL 1259 acid producer. The growth parameters and optimal conditions for H202 and bacteriocin production by using different inocula, culture media, initial pH and temperatures allowed us to select the optimal conditions to transfer the results to the pharmaceutical industry.
