Resumen:
Twelve xylophilous fungi are recorded on Prosopis spp. and Acacia spp.from the Occidental and the Serrano Districts of the Chaco phytogeographical Province of Argentina. Peniophora nuda is described and, together with Inonotus texanus Murr., are recorded for the first time in the country. Vararia tropica was already recorded and now is described for the first time. Phellinus rimosus was the most abundantly species found on living trees.
