Resumen:
The interest on the relaxation time of optimal cooling processes has grown in recent times. One of the main points is the conceptual need for an unitless thermodynamic time, which characterizes the macroscopic evolution of the system. In this paper we find relationships between (a) relaxation time, (b) thermodynamic time and (c) clock time for this kind of optimal cooling process, in the case of a simple system. We also perform a molecular dynamics experiment in order to test the main theoretical results.
