Abstract A new experimental setup and methodology that allows the automatictracking of a Mössbauer absorption line as its energy position varies during theexperiment is introduced. As a test the sixth spectral line of FeSn2 was tracked whiletemperature was varied between room temperature and a value slightly above itsNéel temperature.
