Resumen:
The riboflavin (RF) and flavine mononucleotide (FMN) adsorption on Ag(111) and Au(111) electrodes was studied by electrochemical techniques. This report is oriented to the study of flavins interactions with well defined bare solid surfaces in non adsorbing electrolytes like HClO4 and KClO4. Cyclic Voltammetry and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy measurements at different applied potentials were performed in presence and in absence of the studied molecules. Electrode capacitance as a function of potential (-1.2 to 0V vs. SCE) for the bare surface was calculated assuming an equivalent circuit consisting of a resistive and a capacitive elements connected in series. In order to obtain information about the double layer structure and the adsorption processes occurring in the whole potential range, different equivalent circuits were fitted to the experimental data.
