Resumen:
There is more than one way in which one can approach the notion of a particle in general relativity. We mention here two different approaches. From the notion of isolated systems; through the study of asymptotically flat spacetimes. Suppose one has the expressions for the general isolated systems in terms of a null frame and some luminosity distance; then neglecting any appearance of quadratic terms in the curvature, one will end up with the most general linearized solution of a compact object with structure. Then one can apply some notion of no-structure, to define a particle.Through the study of local solutions, applied to distributions with support on a timelike world line. The corresponding energy-momentum tensor should only take into account mass and spin aspect of the particle.
