Resumen:
Mathematical Model and Numerical Simulation of the Evolution of the Main Olfactory System H. A. Mors, G. J. Sibona FaMAF - U.N.C., CONICET We present a model for the evolution of the main olfactory system which allows to analize an olfactive repertoire composed by many different receptor types. The results obtained in diverse numerical simulations allow to observe that the odor receptors converge toward the expected results, not only for olfactory systems composed by just one type of odor receptor but for olfactory systems composed by an extensive repertoire of odor receptors too. We also could observe that when there are more kinds of food (this is many different odors to detect) than receptors types, is better for the predator's olfactory system evolve into one than can detect approximately fine many different odors instead of one that could detect perfectly only one kind of food.
