Resumen:
This work presents the status of the wavelength dispersivesystem that is being currently commissioned in the XRFbeamline of the LNLS.X-Ray Fluorescence using energy-dispersive setups is awell-known technique. It has several advantages and the rangeof applications is increased everyday. In addition, many othertechniques are derived from conventional XRF, for instancetotal-reflection analysis, micro-analysis, etc.A different approach for detecting characteristic radiationis proposed by the so-called wavelength dispersive systems. With this setup, fluorescent radiation is filtered by a perfectcrystal and, via Brags law, selected energies are detected by aproportional detector. In this configuration, the energy resolutionis improved several
