Resumen:
An averaged state-space model of the coupled inductor double boost converter (C2B) operating in discontinuous conduction mode and without considering losses is presented inthis paper. Differential equations depend on the time intervals lasted by the interchange of energy between the magnetic elements. Thus, expressions that permit to estimate those valuesas a function of the averaged states are proposed. A condition to determine the conduction mode of the circuit according to the load current and the duty cycle of the switch is also developed. Finally, transient and steady-state responses given by the model are compared to those obtained by simulating the converter.
