Resumen:
This work proposes a symbol-spreading-based interferencealignment technique to reduce the interference sufferedby a user that has been offloaded from a macrocell to a picocell ina heterogeneous network scenario. The proposed precoding anddecoding technique uses the time dimension on the OFDM symbolbasis to improve the effective signal-to-interference-and-noiseratio (SINR) at the affected user, without requiring coordinationbetween the macro and pico base stations. Our simulation resultsdemonstrate improvements w.r.t. the performance of currentinterference coordination techniques used in the latest releases ofLTE-Advanced, with the added feature of avoiding compromisingthe resources of the interfering macrocell.
