Resumen:
We present simple correlated wave functions considering two K-shell active electrons of neutral atoms from He to Xe. We employ a variational method subject to a local potential representing the presence of outher shell electrons. The method is based on the pseudo-separable strategy, originally proposed by Pluvinage. Hylleraas-like wavefunctions are constructed for K-shell electron wavefunctions, in terms of exponential and power series.
