Resumen:
The evolution of the southwestern margin of Gondwana is still subject of debate due to the scarcity of information and the lack of integration of different disciplines. In this contribution we present rock-magnetism fabric studies that were carried out on Tonian to middle-Cambrian igneous-metamorphic crystalline basement rocks of the Ventania System (i.e., Sauce Chico Complex) southwards the Río de la Plata Craton in Buenos Aires province, Argentina. The results herein presented are in line with the mylonitisation registered in the whole complex. The new data obtained in this work can help to better understand the tectonic processes that took place during the Gondwanide Orogeny in late Palaeozoic.
