Resumen:
The relationships between humans and other animals are an extremely important part of our daily lives, and they are the result of a long history. Archaeological animal remains and traces of their interactions with our species provide a window into that history. As such, they help understand the impact of such interactions in our societies and environments in different scales, including the long term. In the Neotropics, this is crucial for understanding issues such as megafaunal extinction and the consequences of the introduction of Eurasian fauna, which have shaped up our modern world and contribute to its future.
