This paper is about the consequences of the occupational alternation of mammalian carnivores and humans in rock shelters in the Andean Puna or Altiplano. It deals with the implications of the size of faunal accumulations by each for inferring agency and, thereby, other taphonomic and palaeoecological aspects.
