Resumen:
In this work a theoretical analysis of the dynamic behavior of a two degree of freedom system attached to a viscously damped beam is presented. This case is treated as an example of vibration control of structural elements using a dynamic vibration absorber (or vibration neutralizer). The absorber is attached to the principal system in two points by means of a spring and a damper at each point , the mass can both rotate and translate. The advantage of this type of absorber, compared with the one degree of freedom absorber, is that it is possible to tune it to control two modes of the principal system simultaneously and its performance is superior. The work is based on Lagrange’s multipliers method and the optimization was performed by means of the “simulated annealing” technique. The aim of this paper is to investigate the parameters of the absorber that minimize the amplitude in certain points of the main structure subjected to a harmonic force. Finally, the results show that it is possible to reach a considerable reduction of amplitude near the first two resonant frequencies
