Resumen:
The conductivity of the ionosphere is extremely important in geophysical processes. It plays a critical role in magnetosphere-ionosphere and thermosphere-ionosphere coupling processes. Solar EUV irradiance and Earth magnetic field are among the variables involved in this conductivity. Bothpresent changes, and so does their contribution to the ionospheric conductivity. Considering the theoretical equations of Hall and Pedersen conductivity, the effect of solar activity and Earth magnetic field variations are analyzed comparatively. IRI2012, NRLMSIS-00 and IGRF models were used to estimate the parameters involved. The expected consequences of the upper atmosphere cooling due to increasing greenhouse gases concentration is also discussed in comparison to both natural forcings here considered.
