Resumen:
Pucciarelli HM, Cesani MF, Orden AB, Oyhenart EE, Zucchi M, Muñe MC. Intergenerational effects on food intake of the rats. International Journal of Anthropology 2006, 21 (1-4): 167-177. Decreased food intake ratios (RFI) in function of age were detected in a previous longitudinal study made in rats. Since the RFI decreases more in controls than in undernourished animals, an Age-of-fitness point (AFP) –i.e. an age in which all the anmals reach the same RFI could be predcited after the 80th day af age. In the present study a moderate transgenerational undernourishment was made in Wistar rats foe eight generations: the first (P) being stuudied as controls, and the following eights as undernourished filias (F1-F8). Undernourishement was made from the conception to the end of the experiment (100 days of age). The last generation was divided into two subgroups: 1)F8 undernourished as F1/F7 and 2)F8 recuperated. The recuperation proccess began at 20th day and finished at the 100th day-old. The RFI in all generations was calculated in mg of food intake per gram of body weight. The aim of the present study is to determine 1) if the AFP varies by the effect of the transgenerational undernutrition, and if so, 2) if the AFP increases or decreases...
