After screening of 9 immobilised triazinic dyes, RedF5B was selected as the best ligand for chymosin and Mucor miehei acid protease purification, at pHs 9.5 and 5.4 respectively. For Mucor bacilliformis protease purification from a crude extract of a solid-state culture, Red HE-3B was selected, allowing a 95.2% recovery of pure enzyme.
