Resumen:
Abstract: An online survey was conducted among 426 students from University of Buenos Aires to evaluate the impact on academic functioning of the transition from in-person to online education during the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic in Argentina. The analysis revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with small but significant improvements of academic achievement, reading, and writing. However, there was a great variability between students: 46.0% reported poorer academic performance quality during the COVID-19 pandemic, whereas 42.7% reported improved academic performance quality. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a significant reduction in interactions with other students, along with a significantly poorer balance between study and private life, and poorer satisfaction of being a student.
