Resumen:
Metal biosorption is a technique that can be used for removal of pollutants from waters. This technique, employing non-living biomass has the advantage to be an independent-metabolims process; so, metal toxicities become to be irrelevant and in addition no substrate or special growth conditions are necessary. Brown algae show an extraordinary capacity to bind heavy metals on theri cell wall. The main objective of this work was the evaluation of zinc and nickel biosorption using Undaria pinnatifida biomass
