Resumen:
Rigid polyurethane (PU) foams are widely used due to its high thermal insulation andexcellent resistance/weight relationship. Nowadays, however, environmental concerns stimulatethe use of renewable resources to replace petrochemical raw materials [1]. In this context,the use of polyols derived from vegetable oils is a very attractive alternative that can contributeto the environmental protection [2]. The aim of this work is to prepare and characterizePU foams from bio-based polyols, using H2O as blowing agent to enhance their green nature.
