Propiedades de hinchamiento y contracción en la madera de Eucalyptus grands de Argentina

Resumen: Se investigó el hinchamiento de la madera de Eucalytus grandis de Argentina, utilizando muestras seleccionadas al azar de plantaciones ubicadas en las provincias de Corrientes y Entre Ríos. Los materiales y los métodos empleados respondieron a las prescripciones de la Norma IRAM 9543 (1966), considerándose para la obtención de los resultados la norma DIN 52184 (1979). Los valores encontrados para el hinchamiento máximo, así como para la anisotropía dimensional del hinchamiento, en las muestras analizadas, son congruentes con los publicados por otros investigadores. Los resultados también revelan la influencia que la zona de cultivo y la posición de la probeta en el árbol ejercen sobre las propiedades estudiadas. Abstract : Swelling in Argentinean Eucalyptus grandis was investigated. For this purpose, test samples were randomly selected from forests located in Corrientes and Entre Ríos Provinces. Materials and methods were prepared and carried out according to the procedures of the Argentinean standard IRAM 9543 (1966) and results were calculated according to the German standard DIN 52184 (1979). The values found for the maximal swelling as well as for the anisotropy of swelling in the studied samples, are congruent with the ones published by other researchers.
