Resumen:
A new material based on Pt and Co exchanged on different zeolites is studied for the selctive catalityc reduction of NOx with CH4. The oreder of activity results PtCoMordenite > PtCoZSM5 > PtCoY. The effect of the platinum content on the catalytic behavior is presented. The incorporation of 0.5% Pt and 2% Co to NaMordenite after calcination and a subsequent reduction for one hour at 350ºC in H2 yields a solid converting 100% of NO at 450ºC when it is fed with a CH4/NO ratio = 3 at GHSV = 6500 h(-1). XPS and TPR results indicate that in the active catalyst there co-exist metallic particles of Co and Pt together with Co2+ and H+ generated in the reduction at exchange positions. The incorporation of 3% of water in the feed provokes a reversible decrease of the NO to N2 conversion.
