Resumen:
Some contemporary Brazilian and Argentine poetry that centers on perception and the senses foster an intense circulation of affects and emotions for which, yet, there seems to be no subject or a strong subjectivity attached. It is my intention to analyze this poetry as symptom of what I see as a more general transformation of aesthetics and its role and function in contemporary society. From a sensorial stridency to a sort of emotive and sensorial minimalism ?that, nonetheless, manifests itself rather as the occlusion or containment of sensibility than its effective absence-, there seems to be a movement in contemporary art towards a predominance of the senses. The article analyzes this predominance in the poetry of Marcos Siscar, Paula Glenadel, Carlito Azevedo, Sergio Raimondi y Gambarotta.
